The FBI Says 300,000 bicycles stolen every year… I ask the question, how many of these people deserved to get their bike’s stolen. Here are five examples below…
Researching about anti-theft product in the bike industry, I realized that not everyone should be eligible to own a bike. Or at least, have the responsibility for locking it.

1 in 3 urban bikers have had their bike lights stolen. So, we wanted to make a theft-resistant product that could stand the temptations from all the reckless thieves out there. But sometimes even a bulletproof product will not be able to protect the owners from their stupidity.

I confess! I live in Tustin, CA and I left my Cannondale bike outside a Khol’s in the bikerack with NO LOCKS whatsoever. There was no way I would be able exit the store in less that 5 minutes and there was another bike locked up in the rack. When I came back, my bike was still there and the other bike was gone, meaning the owner of that bike was aware of the freebee sitting right there. I knew what I had done was outright idiotic, despite my desperation to get a Christmas item (last minute purchase for a coworker friend’s last day), but I thought it was worth it. When I saw that other bike gone, I realized that NOTHING is worth leaving your bike unlocked, NOTHING! Like friends, bikes come and go, but it shouldn’t be your own fault! Thank you for this post, I felt so guilty for the position I’d put my bike in and I needed somewhere anonymous to confess my crime against myself!
